Counter Service Representative – Fresno (pay range $18 hourly)

Job Description:

Jorgensen Company is looking for a positive and professional Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this
role, you will be one of our customers’ first point of contact. As Customer Service Representative, you will be
communicating with customers in-person, over the phone or via email. You will also be giving customers information
about products and services, processing orders and returns, resolving customer complaints, and answering questions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a courteous manner and always set a positive office atmosphere
  • Create positive customer relationships by defusing angry or upset customers
  • Able to multi-task projects and job duties through prioritization and organization
  • Understand products and services to provide quality service
  • Process customer requests and inquiries to include: account maintenance, billing questions and payment
    handling, establishing an initial point of contact
  • Resolve customer complaints in a timely manner notifying management as needed
  • Place orders, refunds, or exchanges in a timely manner
  • Work with warehouse on will-call orders
  • Work with the purchasing agent on special order items to complete customer orders
  • Communicate with other warehouses to bring in stock items as needed for customer
  • Communicate with the safety manager on products or training
  • Dispatch customer calls with accurate information given by customer
  • Print dispatches to appropriate offices
  • Support field technicians with service orders, invoicing, payment handling and general inquires while creating
    open communication, trust, and positive attitude
  • Answer questions about warranties or terms of sale
  • Inform customer of specials, promotions, and product recalls
  • Perform clerical duties as required by photocopying, scanning, faxing emailing or mailing
  • Scan, organize and maintain files and records accordingly; update when necessary
  • Handle payments accurately
  • Manage cash box drawer daily
  • Willing to cross train in other departments as a backup when needed
  • Assist with inventory count and/or enter adjustments at year-end

Skills/Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills with supervisors, peers, and customers
  • Proficiency in 10-key, typing and data entry
  • Time management skills, dependable, accurate and detail oriented
  • Problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as a team
