About the Position

Jorgensen Company is looking for a hard-working, hands-on individual that wants to learn a trade in the Fire Protection
industry. The right candidate will be trained on how to inspect and repair Fire Extinguishers in our shop as well as
potentially in the field. You will also be trained in various aspects of our business.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, perform quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a clean safe work environment.
  • Must be a fast learner.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and pre-employment physical exam including a 50lb lift test.
  • Must be able to work varied hours
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be reliable and responsible.
  • Must possess a California Driver’s license with a driving record that is acceptable to our insurance company.
  • Must be able to take and pass the Office of the State Fire Marshall test for Fire Extinguisher Service In
    accordance with California Health and safety Code and Regulations Title 19 within 6 months from start date of
    employment. We fully prepare each candidate for this exam.

About the Position

To provide excellent customer service and establish a quality point of contact by answering product and service
questions, suggesting information about other products and services. Processing orders, service requests and preparing
correspondence to fulfill customer needs in order to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job functions and duties:

  • Process customer requests and inquires to include: complaints, account maintenance, billing questions and
    payment handling, establishing an initial point of contact.
  • Handling National Accounts consisting of coordinating with technicians, scheduling services in a timely manner,
    maintaining dispatches, processing work orders, and creating quotes.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by understanding, verifying, assembling, forwarding and following up on all
  • Place orders and service requests in timely manner and obtaining pertinent information for follow up.
  • Understand products and services in order to provide quality service through the recommendation of improved
    processes, products and services.
  • Support field technicians with service order, invoicing, payment handling and general inquire while creating
    open communication, trust and positive attitude.
  • Coordinate with Service Manager and various departments dispatching service orders
  • Generate weekly cash drawer and gross profit reports.
  • Maintain organized electronic and hard copy filing system.
  • Manage time, multi-task projects and job duties through prioritization and organization.
  • General clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, fax and mailing.
  • Maintain a positive disposition and professional demeanor.
